How CheaperForDrug works: behind the scenes of the platform

Buying several products online usually means opening one pharmacy site after another and adding up prices and delivery yourself. CheaperForDrug does that for your whole basket at once. Here is how it works.

The cheapest product is not always the cheapest order

Say you need vitamin C, a cough syrup, a children's probiotic and ibuprofen. One pharmacy has a good price on the syrup but charges for delivery. Another delivers free above a certain amount. A third is missing one product, so you would order twice and pay for delivery twice. Working it out by hand takes a long time, and you still don't know whether you paid too much.

How the comparison works

1. You add products to your basket, with the right strength and pack size.
2. You start the comparison. We check the price of every product and the delivery cost at the online pharmacies we compare, at that very moment.
3. You see the pharmacy where the whole basket costs least, delivery included. If two orders come out cheaper than one, the result tells you.
4. You go to that pharmacy's website and order there. We don't sell medicines: you buy directly from the pharmacy.

A free basket check

Before you order, the basket check looks at your products together: the same active substance twice, two medicines from the same group, or pairs that their summaries of product characteristics advise against combining. If something is flagged, ask a pharmacist.

Free comparison, optional Premium

Comparing your basket is free, unlimited and needs no account. It always shows the cheapest pharmacy for your basket. Premium is an annual subscription for people who buy regularly: it suggests cheaper substitutes for the products in your basket, lets you know when your basket is cheaper than usual, shows its price over the whole year and reminds you before you run out. It renews automatically each year, and we remind you 7 days before it does.

Why you can trust the result

The result is decided by price alone. No pharmacy can pay to be shown instead of a cheaper one, and the comparison always points to the cheapest option for your basket, delivery included.

How much will you save?

That depends on your basket: which products are in it, how many packs you buy and what delivery costs. The comparison shows the exact total before you buy, so you know what you pay and where.
